Kristen and I had been planning this extravagant and romantic engagement session at The Biltmore Estate since February. With COVID-19, we had to wait for them to open back up - which gave us more time to plan! It was a beautiful, cold, and cloudy day. I grabbed an espresso and drove through the gates winding along the monolithic property. From the moment we walked up the hillside to the elegant house, we knew we were getting magic. I could have shot Kristen all day in that red dress. They made it so much fun to capture their story. The staircases, the gardens, this couple - there was beauty at every turn.

After waiting for Kristen's dress to make it out of customs in Australia, I finally flew into Miami - on Super Bowl weekend - did I mention it was in Miami? I knew this was the perfect place to take these two when Kristen described her vision to me. A mix of architecture, beautiful gardens, and all within close proximity to the beach for Josh. We specifically planned three outfit choices, all with unique locations. At the end of the day we ended up with toes in the sand on the beach at sunset.

When Jayna walked around a Florida spring in her Jimmy Choo’s, I knew we would get along famously. Her day started off relaxing in a posh high rise hotel in Sarasota, Florida. Beautiful natural light filled the room where we took incredible bridal portraits and getting ready photos. Her gown by YSA Makino made us swoon shot after shot. The architecture at the Ringling is incredible and made for a romantic backdrop.

My team and I flew into Rome a few days before the ceremony and wandered around the city eating nothing but fresh olives, pizza, espresso, and gelato. We then headed towards the country where we met up with our couple and their wedding party. The Italian country side was so surreal and beautiful. We stayed at the rustic Tenuta di Casa Bruciata. The ceremony overlooked a gorgeous vineyard and was perfect for this romantic and intimate wedding. After the ceremony ended, everyone sat down for dinner at a long wooden table where a local chef prepared an endless amount of food paired with wines. The laughter, love, and happiness filled the valley and permeated the brisk night air.
